Facilities
Our aim is to offer modern facilities on an inclusive basis to new and existing sporting and social entities.
Facilities will include ample parking, 2 full sized sports pitches with training areas, shower and changing facilities for home and away teams and match officials along with post match bar and catering facilities. In addition, there will be an event space and meeting room to accommodate many other community, private and business needs. We anticipate having a coffee shop with indoor and outdoor serveries, catering for sporting events and the many families that frequent the children’s play area.
Who Are We?
Towersey Playing Fields Committee, (TPFC), is a registered Charity, number 1054125. TPFC has a 148 year lease from Towersey Parish Council, (TPC).
TPFC is a committee of volunteers charged with managing and maintaining the grounds and facilities. As part of this responsibility, we are championing this next phase of development to replace the existing condemned building, and meet with the growing demand for indoor and outdoor facilities.
Why?
We find ourselves in a perfect storm, caught between deteriorating facilities and population growth increasing the demand for such facilities.
- Significantly upgrade the existing facilities
- Provide WC and Changing facilities
- Offer catering facilities
- Expand the usage of the playing fields
- Improve the parking area
- Offer opportunities for sport and other social activities to a growing population
Community Impact
Without the proposed facilities we run the risk of the playing fields becoming financially unsustainable and losing a valuable sporting and social asset.
Our aim is to offer modern first rate facilities on an inclusive basis to new and existing sporting and social entities.
