Fundraising: The Story So Far
Hello! Thank you for being here, as one of our brilliant TPFC fundraisers, you’re now part of something incredible: helping us raise vital funds for our new Community Pavilion, a wonderful new place for us all to gather, now and into the future. You obviously care about our vibrant community, and share our values. In addition we hope our new facilities will enable us to launch new activities too. With your help we can communicate the benefits of our new facilities and inspire others like you to champion our project for the benefit of everyone in Towersey as well as the surrounding local area. You’ll find some examples of a wonderful range of ways you can help us on this page. Thank you for your support, it really is so vital.

Together We Can Make a Difference
Since we started the development plan for our Playing Fields we have raised over £250k. All the work undertaken so far has been funded through local fund-raising events, grants and donations. We believe that we can fund 100% of our project through grants and donations.
What have we done so far…
Phase 1 – Upgrade of Children’s Play Area - £36k - COMPLETED
Phase 2 – New Storage Shed for the Towersey Community groups - £48k - COMPLETED
Phase 3 – New Pavilion - £29k so far – ONGOING
Funds raised to date for new pavilion:
Towersey Fringe - £158,050
Towersey Village Fete - £ 9,105
Other Donations - £ 21,708

Our new pavilion will likely be split into several stages as we raise funds and build.
There is no doubt that to raise in excess of £1.25 million is a pretty formidable challenge but we are confident that it can be done. Our optimism is based on a very strong ‘can do’ attitude and a belief that we have the necessary expertise and support from our community to do so.
Since 2011 we have successfully raised in excess of £250,000 for playing fields projects. Some of which has been used to fund our Phase 1 project – childrens play area, Phase 2 – new storage shed and Phase 3 on architects, planning application, surveys, publicity and more.

Here you can either make a one-off donation or set up a regular payment or even host your fund-raising event. Even better, if you are a UK tax payer, click on Gift Aid and we will receive an extra 25p for every £1 you donate direct from the government. Could you donate regularly as little as £2 per month via Just Giving? With Gift Aid we would receive a donation of £30 annually.

Host a Fundraising Event for us – Here are some ideas
How about a bake sale or a Bake Off ! Perhaps a coffee morning with friends or a yard sale are great places to start. It doesn’t matter the size of the donation – it all adds up in the end.
Hold or take part in a sponsored Event
Take on a challenge for the Community Pavilion and see what you can achieve! Whether you run, swim, or cycle, you can have fun and get fit while raising vital funds and awareness. Choose your event and get moving! You can choose us as your preferred charity for your next marathon/walk/ dance-athon!
Hold a Birthday Fundraiser for us
All the details are on the CrowdFunder website, simply create the event and select Towersesy Playing Fields as the beneficiary. This is such a simple fundraiser, ask friends and family to donate to Towersey Playing Fields instead of sending a card or gift. Imagine if we could inspire 10 or 20 more Birthday fundraisers like this!
